The thermally optimised Toughbook 40 MK3 design ensures consistent performance even in demanding environments. It is powered by an Intel Series 2 processor with Intel AI Boost and is available with the industry's first 8GB dGPU for demanding graphics and AI tasks. Featuring a 1200-nit outdoor-readable touchscreen, all-day battery life, and seamless 5G connectivity.

It is currently the most modular rugged PC with 8 user-replaceable areas (RAM, SSD, Battery, Keyboard, plus 4 additional Expansion Slots). This modularity provides users with unmatched adaptability, flexibility, options and investment protection. The Toughbook 40 MK3 has 4 expansion slots area: Right, Left, Palm Rest and Rear. The expansion slots would give users options such as additional ports, 2nd battery, 2nd HDD, optical drive, smart card reader, etc. In addition to the expansion slots, the Toughbook 40 also has user-replaceable backlit keyboard, battery, RAM and main HDD option. With this modular systems, user has more flexibility to add additional ports or upgrades post-sales therefore ensuring even better ROI and product longevity than they had before.

The Toughbook 40 MK3 is powered by the latest Series 2 Intel Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 Processors and runs Windows 11 Professional. It comes installed with 6500mAh battery which gives it operating life of up to 12 hours (24 hours if you add the optional 2nd battery - Mobile Mark 30).

The Toughbook 40 MK3 is equipped with 4x microphones providing unparalleled speech recognition accuracy. It also has an integrated top facing 95db speakers which is loud enough to hear from the back of the room.

For continuous use, Toughbook 40 MK3 Night Mode can apply a screen effect to reduce night blindness, eye strain and neural stimulation by applying one of 12 screen effects (colors, inversion, grayscale, blue light reduction), keyboard color and brightness. It is triggered either manually, or automatically based on the time of day or the amount of light. For military use, the Concealed Mode can dim or turn off the display when a combination of keys is pressed, along with some other settings include turning off the keyboard LED’s and turning off the volume.

Toughbook 40 MK3 comes with the latest Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE201 + Bluetooth v5.4 (Class 1) providing fast connection to other devices. It's optional 5G modem supports Sub6, C-band, and speeds up to 3.5Gbps.
